Jane Ingalls
Founder & President

Jane Ingalls founded Artemis in 2006 and has nearly 30 years of experience on the front lines of corporate decision making. Her extensive background combines corporate communications, strategy and message development, crisis communications, media relations, and advocacy marketing for both public and private companies.

As a consultant to executive leadership, Jane develops and articulates corporate strategy and aligns communications efforts with an organization’s strategic focus, brand positioning and core values. She also provides counsel on crisis communications, corporate communications, public relations and marketing. Jane’s ability to combine strategy development, clear messages and effective marketing plans is integral to her clients’ success.

Prior to creating Artemis, Jane served as senior vice president of corporate communications and chief of staff to the CEO and chairman of Janus Capital Group. She served on the firm’s Executive Committee, which developed business strategy and set the overall direction for the firm.

During her six-year tenure at Janus, Jane managed the company’s media relations, employee communications and corporate philanthropy departments. She directed the firm’s investor relations activities when Janus became a public company and was an integral member of the financial communications team for quarterly earnings releases and presentations until her departure in 2006. She also wrote numerous presentations and speeches for the CEO and chairman.

Prior to joining Janus, Jane held communications and marketing positions in New York City at OppenheimerFunds, Sawyer/Miller Group, Prudential Securities, and Morgan Stanley. She received a bachelor’s degree in business and English from Hartwick College.

Jane is a member of the Colorado Forum and directs her family's philanthropy efforts, which focus on supporting students with learning differences.  She is the former chair of Janus Next Generation Scholarship Advisory Committee and served on the Philanthropic Services Group of the Denver Foundation.
